Terms & Conditions

Payment:

First night deposit is required to secure the booking. Payment of this deposit constitutes the guests acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. 

A deposit equal to 50% of the tariff is required for peak periods of Christmas, January and Easter, payable 3 months in advance or upon booking where bookings are made within 3 months of stay.

Balance of the tariff must be received in full prior to occupancy if paying by direct deposit, or paid via credit card/cash on arrival day.  Where payment is not received the owner has the right to cancel the booking and attempt to relet it. 

All credit card transactions are subject to a 1.5% surcharge.

Bookings can only be confirmed 12 months in advance. Any bookings we receive with an arrival date greater than 12 months from reservation date shall be treated as enquiries, whereby we will contact you to confirm rates and availability.

 

Cancellation

During off peak periods 14 days notice is required for a deposit to be refundable. 

During peak periods deposits will only be refunded provided 30 days notice is given and the accommodation can be re-let for the same period.

Bookings cancelled that do not meet the above terms may result in full loss of deposit. All deposits refunded are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

 

 Variation

The owner will make every effort to ensure the accommodation is available as booked. However the owner reserves the right to make alterations to bookings as necessary due to operational or maintenance requirements.

 

 Extra Charges:       

In order to maintain a high standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. Whilst we know that most guests will do the right thing the occassional abuse requires that we stipulate the following conditions:

  1. Number of guests should not exceed the number stated on the booking confirmation or subsequently agreed with the owner.  Fees will apply for additional guests that do not comply.
  2. Parties are not permitted. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly our rates do not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in additional charges.
  3. Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental and loss of bond (see below).
  4. Country House Retreat bookings require a $200 bond which is payable at the same time as the balance amount (alternatively a credit card number can be provided for pre-authorisation of this amount). The bond will be refunded within 7 days in full subject to all the above conditions being met.  It is designed to cover any additional costs incurred including but not limited to, any breakage, damage or excess cleaning requirements, extra guests beyond those declared, etc.

 

 Departure

The accommodation should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival. 

Check-out time is by 10 am to allow time to prepare accommodation for next guests. A late fee of $50 per hour (or part thereof) applies for delayed departures unless this has been pre-arranged with owner in advance.

 

 Pets:

Pets are not permitted at Jetty Road Retreat.

Country House Retreat welcomes well behaved pets indoors on non carpeted areas. Pets are not permitted in bedrooms or on furniture at any time.

 

 Loss: The owners take no responsibility for guests personal property.
