Be inspired...

Spring is a great time to try something new whether it be adventurous, artistic or a personal skill you've been wanting to hone. The peaceful surroundings of Jetty Road Retreat allows guests time for themselves away from all the outside distractions and demands of modern life. Bring your paintbrushes and watercolours to capture the changing colours on the lake from your private deck. Drink in the views for inspiration and get cracking on that book or poems you've always wanted to write. Take a paddle out on the lakes in our free kayaks or try your hand at fishing off the jetty. Bring your camera and practice your nature photography skills on the local birdlife (who are very willing models!).

Dates to remember...

The wonderful Metung Farmers Markets are held on the second Saturday of each month rain, hail or shine. Held on the Village Green from 8:00am - 12:30pm, this is the place to head for fabulous local gourmet goodies and hand made treasures. After a morning of sampling and stocking up on the best local produce, we recommend an afternoon ale on the lawn at the Metung Hotel before heading back to your cabin to cook up a storm (possibly after a little nap).

Bruthen's Bullant Brewery is celebrating Oktoberfest on 6th Oct with a traditional Bavarian meal over seven courses for $60pp and a free Bullant beer stein of local brew. Book early to reserve your spot by calling (03) 5157 5307. If you can't make it along on 6th Oct it's still well worth a trip to the Bullant for any lovers of microbrew beers and great local food while you're in East Gippsland.

The Paynesville Farmers and Makers Markets will be held 23rd Sept, 28th Oct and 25th Nov during Spring at their new location on the Esplanade from 8:00am - 12:30pm. You'll find a wide variety of stalls here from tasty treats to quirky surprises and are well worth checking out.
